How long does a replacement boiler installation take?
A new boiler installation usually takes 1-3 days. If your new boiler is the same type as your old one, it will be a simpler and quicker boiler installation than if your replacement boiler was a different type – for example, switching from a conventional boiler to a combi boiler. Moving your new boiler to a different place to the old one makes your replacement boiler installation slower than keeping the same type because it creates extra work like changing the pipework.
Confused about which type to go for? We can help you find the right new boiler type for you.
What happens during a new boiler installation?
Your boiler installation engineer will drain down your central heating and hot water system so that they can disconnect and remove your old boiler. They will then clear out your heating system to get rid of impurities in the pipework. Then they’ll start your replacement boiler installation, and once your replacement boiler installation is complete, they’ll talk you through your new boiler and system controls and show you how to use it. Our step-by-step guide to boiler installation explains everything in more detail.
What happens after my new boiler installation is complete?
When your expert boiler installation engineer has finished your new boiler installation, they’ll check that everything is working as it should be and then talk you through your new boiler and system controls and show you how to use it. Our step-by-step guide to boiler installation explains everything in more detail. Following your boiler installation, you might want to think about boiler accessories that could make it even more efficient, like Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs).
We’ll also help you to keep your new boiler in top condition and working as efficiently as possible with up to 12 years’ warranty. That means that if anything goes wrong with your new boiler, we’ll be there to repair it – or to replace it for FREE if we can’t.

When you take out HomeCare boiler cover, we’ll give you:

What is the cost of a new combi boiler?
The size of your home and the number of radiators you have will determine the cost of a new combi boiler. A new combi boiler for a small one-bedroom flat with only five radiators will cost much less than a new combi boiler for a large detached house with lots of bedrooms, bathrooms and radiators.
